Production

This rock salt originates from approximately 200-million-year-old salt deposits located in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, Germany. Formed through the evaporation of the prehistoric Zechstein Sea, it now lies 400–750 meters underground. Mined in Central Germany, the salt is ground and sifted to achieve the desired fine grain size. Packaged without iodine or anti-caking agents.

Tips for preparation

Wonderfully versatile—from savory dishes to sweet creations: this rock salt enhances soups, vegetables, salads, meat, and fish dishes, as well as doughs, dressings, and dips. Even desserts benefit from a pinch, which balances flavors and brings out subtle aromas. Perfect, too, for pickling vegetables or seasoning meals at the table.
