Production
The sea salt comes from a region in the eastern Algarve (Portugal). The raw salt is harvested from the salt basins and dried. It is then cleaned of stones and other impurities using sieves and sorted into different grain sizes.
Tips for preparation
A true all-rounder in the kitchen. Our coarse Atlantic sea salt is a versatile ingredient that enhances a wide variety of dishes. In warm dishes, the salt crystals dissolve gently, adding a well-balanced seasoning. In cold dishes, freshly ground or sprinkled salt intensifies the taste experience, as the delicate crystals unfold their full flavor on the tongue.
A particularly refined touch: Fish and meat dishes take on a whole new dimension when finished with a pinch of coarse sea salt just before serving or cooked directly in a salt crust. Its also a highlight in baking whether for crispy pretzels, flavorful grissini, or savory salt sticks.
