A real specialty is the fruity mellow „demeter Oliveoil, extra virgin from Greece“ – the first greek oil, which gained Demeter certification. The “liquid gold” stems from a small mountain village Mendenitsa in central Greece. Surrounded by small sources of water and pine trees a family establishment cultivates at this beautiful place their olive groves at the slopes of the Kallidromon mountains. According to the agricultural course of Rudolf Steiner they keep with highest carefulness to quality and are real pioneers in Greece. The oil from the Amfissa-Olive is cold-pressed on the day of the harvest in the own oil-mill and after storage bottled without any further filtering. It contains a lot of single unsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants and valuable plant products, the oil is perfectly suitable to create Mediterranean dishes, salads and braised.
